SAUDADE - A longing for something you already have......

Pronounced "sow-dahd-jee" this word is hard to define.

It's being in a moment so wonderful that all you can do is

mourn it's passing, even as it is happening.

Rex joined our family – 2/11/2011.  He is 5 years old, and his birthday is the same as mine.  He must’ve been meant for us.

He was unexpected, but just what I needed, an active dog to get me back into some of my dog activities.  He keeps me on my toes, but they say you get the dog you need, not necessarily the dog you want.

This is a picture of the first time I met Rex, in a hotel room.

He adores Samantha and she says he is her favorite.

He sleeps in the hallway outside her door every night, his choice.

We like to think he is happy here!

He’s got his doggie friends.

He loves his yard.

We are having a blast going to obedience class.  We train every week.

He just got his Canine Good Citizen certificate, January 25th.  It was a challenging test, there were about 24 dogs taking the test, and 14 passed.

With a little protection work here and there

We love his sense of humor!

It’s been a great year, and many more to come.  Happy Gotcha Day, Rex!!
